I have always been frustrated with how unhealthy and full of fake sugar comfort drinks at my local coffee shop were...although they are SOO GOOD! So I thought, maybe I can create something with Roasted Dandelion Root. I love maple syrup and it being a 100% natural sweetener, it seemed like the perfect pair to add to a latte...then it hit me, Mocha? I had some cocoa handy and a quick froth in some oat milk, I was enjoying something I thought only unhealthy drinks at Starbucks could create. A superfood drink that was 100% natural, organic, and absolutely delicious? Yes, yes, and YES!

Organic roasted dandelion root, organic dark cocoa, and local and organic maple syrup granules (all fair trade and ethically sourced)

Why dandelion root?
That “pesky weed” in your backyard is actually one of the most plentiful and potent superfoods in existence! Its root is highly nutritious, contains potent antioxidants, has detoxifying properties, promotes healthy weight loss, fights inflammation, and is absolutely delicious!
What does it taste like?
It’s not only crazy healthy, it’s crazy delicious too! It contains notes of hazelnut and chocolate and of course, coffee, so it seamlessly blends into your morning cup. And now with added cocoa and maple syrup graduals, you''ll have everything you need in one bag to make a deliciously healthy comfort drink!
How do I prepare it?
One of the simplest way to prepare it with your coffee is to add 1-2tsp to your grounds before you brew a 6-8cup batch of coffee - add more or less to taste.
Are there others ways to brew?
Yes! Because dandelion root is naturally caffeine free and also tastes very similair to coffee, you can also subsitute some (or all!) of your coffee grounds with Roasted Dandelion Root! Simply substitute 1tbsp for every 3tbsp of coffee (or 5g for every 15g coffee). Essentially, use a 1:3 ratio when substituting since it is 3x more potent than coffee. Also! You can add it directly to a frothier and skip brewing all together!
Best type of brewer to use?
All brewing methods work well, but the best brewing method is one that involves a paper/micro filter i.e. conventional drip brewer, Chemex, Aeropress, etc. French press is not recommended since it does not filter the finer grinds of the Dandelion Root.
How long will it last me?
Dandelion root is extremely potent, so an 8-12oz bag could last you more than a month when used daily!
